About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a fun, passionate and caring team to support and empower our fabulous young people aged 16-25 within our Life and Living Skills Programme in College Residential. It will be your job to support our young people to make their own decisions and reach their full potential, you will be required to support in a personalised way and respond to their needs, wishes and aspirations.
Within your role, you will support young people with a vision impairment and additional complex needs, to access the Life and Living Skills Programme. The programme is designed to support students to practice choice, control and independence in real time and context, enabling our young people to maximise their potential. Each young person has a clear, personalised living skills, accessing community support programme to fully prepare people for their next step, whatever that may be. This could include you supporting a young person to visit new services to support choice and control about transition and where the young person would like to live.
Another aspect of the role involves supporting during the weekend.
College Residential is where our young people reside when accessing the Life and Living Skills Programme and the Main College. Here you will continue to support our young people to develop their independence and daily living skills.
At weekends, our young people like to get out, explore and socialise, you will help support with accessing leisure and social activities within the community.
At InFocus, we will support you every step of the way by providing an excellent, well designed induction programme along with mandatory training which will help you get off to the best possible start, by ensuring that you fully understand your role within the organisation.

Previous experience in a similar role is not necessary. InFocus will support you every step of the way by providing an excellent, well designed induction programme along with mandatory training to help you get off to the best possible start, by ensuring that you fully understand your role and the part you play in the wider organisation. Working pattern
We have three working patterns that you can choose from;
Our Rota A working pattern is 37 hours averaging over a two week rolling rota, 38 weeks per year with early shifts during the week (07:00 – 16:30) and alternate weekends (08:00 – 22:30)
Actual salary £21,845.83 – £22,462.99
Or
Our Rota BL working pattern is 32.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, working Monday to Friday (15:30 – 22:30)
Actual salary £18,070.49 – £18,580.99
Or
Our weekend only working pattern is 28 hours per week, working Saturdays & Sundays (08:00-22:30)
Actual salary £19,588.24 – £20,141.52
