About Our Client
Our client is a fantastic not for profit organisation that has been in operation for well north of 100 years.
Job Description
* Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the Accounts team of six ensuring alignment with the companies Strategy.
* Manage all accounting operations, including management accounts, sales and purchase ledgers, expenses, financial reporting, stock, fixed assets, VAT, and payroll, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and regulations.
* Oversee the production and interpretation of management accounts, enhancing their use as a management tool.
* Manage the Association's cash and working capital to maintain appropriate reserves.
* Prepare accurate financial management information to meet monthly and year-end deadlines.
* Work closely with budget holders to analyse variances and provide commentary as necessary.
* Develop and maintain the Association's Financial Management Manual.
* Streamline and modernize financial processes across the company, ensuring consistency and accuracy in reporting.
* Lead the budgeting process, providing financial analysis and guidance on all plans and activities.
* Act as the primary interface with external auditors, addressing and implementing improvements as needed.
* Support the work of the Audit and Risk Committee.
* Deputise for the Finance Director when necessary.
The Successful Applicant
* Relevant professional qualification.
* Post-qualification experience in relevant legal fields.
* Success in a similar level role in an organisation of at least £15m turnover and 100 staff
