About This Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and servicing vacuum pumps and systems at customer sites. You will be responsible for ensuring all maintenance and repair work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction. In addition to providing scheduled and emergency maintenance, you will also be involved in surveying, promoting, and selling pump healthcare plans and service contracts. Your expertise will help customers optimize their vacuum systems while identifying and quoting minor installations and alterations when required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance on vacuum pumps and associated plant at customer sites.
* Diagnose and repair faults, strip down equipment, and complete repairs to a high standard.
* Promote and sell pump healthcare plans/service contracts, including submitting schedules for contract extensions or new quotations.
* Survey, cost, and quote for minor installations and system modifications.
* Carry out minor installation and commissioning tasks as required.
* Maintain accurate records of parts used and personal stock levels.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times.
* Provide exceptional customer service and technical advice to clients.
* Liaise with internal teams such as Field Service Coordination, Workshop Admin, Customer Service, and Sales.

* Previous experience in a field service or customer-facing engineering role.
* Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
* Strong and accurate reporting skills.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
* Valid UK driver’s license.
* Experience with vacuum or compressor systems - desirable not essential
* Engineering and electrical qualification (time-served preferred).
* Ability to work on-site, including working at height and handling tools and equipment.
* Located in Huddersfield, Leeds or Doncaster covering South Yorkshire region
