The IT Events and Communications Coordinator Intern is a vibrant and engaging role supporting the IT department’s culture, engagement, and communication efforts. Collaborating with the Executive Assistant and IT leadership team, this individual will play a key role in planning, organising, and delivering team events, national IT catch-ups, and other engagement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
1. Event Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and manage IT cultural initiatives and events that foster collaboration, diversity & inclusion, happiness, connection, and morale within the IT department.
2. Logistics Management: Organise logistics for national IT meetings, including scheduling, booking venues, preparing materials, and ensuring seamless execution.
3. Internal Communication: Support communication strategies to promote consistent, clear, and engaging messaging across IT teams and stakeholders.
4. Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks related to event planning, communication initiatives, and team coordination activities.
5. Engagement Point of Contact: Act as a liaison for IT team members regarding cultural and engagement activities, responding to inquiries and providing support.

Desired:
* Previous experience in event planning or internal communications.
* Diploma in Marketing and Communication, Diploma of Business (Public Relations), event management, or Business Administration.
* Familiarity with basic project management tools and practices.
