We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our integrated Mental Health team at HMP Five Wells. HMP Five Wells is a category C resettlement prison based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, and houses around 1,687 patients. Within this role you will be working collaboratively with the multidiaplinary team and will be supported by a second Psychiatrist who is also our national psychiatry lead.
Hours
This role is part time offering either 2/3 working days per week
Shifts are based between Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
Salary
This position is part time either 15 or hours per week, youll receive an annual salary up to £172,000per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will vary. You will
1. Provide excellent clinical care, assessment and treatment to patients on the case load onsite
2. Actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead the senior mental health clinicians on service developments and provide clinical supervision
3. Work within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi professional complex case reviews.

Qualifications required
11. Registered professional with current registration (GMC)
12. Specialist Registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry
13. Approved under section 12 (2) of the MHS 1983
14. Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
15. Up to date knowledge in the adult psychiatry and PD
16. Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy and legislation
