On completion of the training and subject to consideration of ability, aptitude and successful college results, it is expected that you will qualify as a Service Technician. Once qualified, you will be responsible for providing a variety of inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
Pay review every September throughout the duration of the Apprenticeship.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and gain hands-on experience. You’ll acquire new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

* Be able to work at heights, as this is a natural part of the servicing, and be willing to work within a team.

Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician (Level 3) - Equal to A level
Your training plan
In your first year, you will attend a local college for off-the-job training and will also attend your local branch during holidays to gain further understanding of our business and the nature of the work carried out. In your 2nd and 3rd year, you’ll gain on-the-job training in the field.
What will you learn?
* First principles relating to the operation and maintenance of appropriate electrical and mechanical plant equipment, such as motors, switchgear, cables and conductors, pumps, valves, gearboxes, and pipework.
* Relevant industry health and safety standards, regulations, and environmental and regulatory requirements.
* Planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance and operational practices covering a range of plant and equipment.
* The relevant engineering including electrical theories and principles relative to the role of a Service Technician.
Upon completion of your apprenticeship, you will have achieved:
* Advanced Level Apprenticeship in Engineering Manufacturing
* BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering
* Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering Maintenance
Requirements
GCSE or equivalent in:
* Maths (grade 4)
* Sciences (grade 4)

Willingness to stay and travel away from home on a regular basis; this includes being away for blocks of 1 week at our training in our UK Training Centre in Banbury. Willingness to work in other UK districts for periods of time (hotel and food subsistence paid for). You must live local/within commuting distance of the branch location.
