Looking to develop your career in a project environment? If so, then this might be the role for you We’re now recruiting a Project Coordinator at Drax. This is a permanent role based at Cruachan Power Station, with flexibility for hybrid working. About the role Cruachan Power Station, affectionately known as the ‘Hollow Mountain’, resides deep inside Ben Cruachan Mountain in Argyll and Bute. The site is one of only four pumped storage hydro stations in the UK and has a capacity of 440 MW – enough to power more than 90,000 homes. In this role, you’ll provide key administrative support to our project team. You’ll contribute commercial, procedural and compliance activity to the development and delivery of significant investment projects including the upgrade to Units 3 & 4 at Cruachan. Additionally, you’ll also support the definition and delivery of robust governance arrangements, underpinned by project, programme and portfolio-level assurance and audit activities covering a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the portfolio’s objectives. Who we’re looking for To be successful in this role, you’ll need a background in administration with strong experience of information/ data management and governance. Strong IT skills are essential, particularly with Microsoft Office products. We use SharePoint and Visio, so experience with these is highly beneficial. Ideally, you’ll also have experience working in a project or engineering delivery environment but this isn’t required. You’ll be a strong communicator, with the ability to influence and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
