Network Engineer - NHS
Our client, a large private sector consultancy who support NHS organisations, require a Network Engineer to provide efficient, professional and well-co-ordinated Network BAU support.
Responsibilities:
1. Management and operations of network devices within the supported environment.
2. Specific skills in maintaining switches and firewalls to monitor and maintain the performance of associated services.
3. Maintain and adapt specific networking infrastructure standards, including operational and technical documentation, compliance with organisational and technical standards, processes, and procedures.
4. Contribute to the performance of Network Operations, focusing on Networking technologies including WAN, LAN, VPN, and Wireless technologies.
5. Cisco support, Switching and Routing infrastructure, Firewalling technologies, and best operational practices of a scale environment.
Skills Required:
1. Experience working in a Network Engineer capacity.
2. Switches/Routers monitoring and management.
3. Configuration and appropriate connectivity design.
4. Wireless Networking, including multiple SSID deployment and management.
5. Monitoring of usage and performance with tools like SolarWinds.
6. N3/HSCN Network configuration for High Availability.
