The primary responsibilities of this role include acting as the key technical resource for a range of products, offering both remote and onsite customer support across the UK. The role involves providing installation, maintenance, calibration, and repair services as needed, as well as developing technical expertise in the product range and sharing this knowledge with team members. The position ensures that service delivery aligns with established standards while meeting performance targets and customer satisfaction goals. Ideal Location: East of England (Luton, Cambridge, Oxford)
Responsibilities:
* Conducting preventative maintenance and calibration activities in production and laboratory environments across the UK.
* Providing repair services for instruments and systems at customer sites or, when necessary, within the workshop.
* Offering remote support through various channels, including telephone, email, or online, while collaborating with other departments for additional assistance as required.
* Assisting with installations in coordination with other departments to ensure timely and successful completion.
* Managing external communications and activities through the CRM system and ensuring all required documentation is completed during maintenance, repairs, and installations in line with department standards.
* Participating in relevant technical and product training to maintain proficiency and understanding of the product range.
* Using technical literature and resources to stay informed about the devices and systems in your portfolio.
Requirements:
* Qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (e.g., ONC/HNC or equivalent).
* Relevant experience in the service sector, including field maintenance, repairs, and installations of complex systems.
* Understanding of low voltage DC, single-phase, and three-phase electrical systems.
* Experience with electrical components, inverters, motors, and systems involving temperature and pressure management.
* Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
* Ability to interpret technical data and resolve customer inquiries effectively.
* Solid electromechanical knowledge and skills.
* Familiarity with standard testing equipment for electronic systems.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in technical reporting.
* Organisational and planning capabilities to manage workload efficiently.
* Proficiency in IT systems, with experience in CRM software and MS Office applications.
