This Production role will suit someone who is ambitious, wanting to develop their career in a business with a successful journey into future growth. The site is constantly investing, and they have a strong track record of operational attainment. Manufacturing on trend product ranges supplying multiple major retailers, there is a great balance of complexity and diversity in the operation. Managing all manufacturing areas, liaising with technical, planning and logistics provides a variety of responsibility to prioritise and manage. The team are motivated and experienced so a great environment and expertise to work alongside. What will the role involve? As the Operations Manager you would drive day to day performance ensuring quality and customer service are centre to the KPI's. Leadership and development of your team ensuring they can be their best and are developed on their own career path. Reporting into the Head of Operations with the autonomy to deliver the manufacturing agenda. Working as part of a cross functional team, communicating vital operational information to ensure that all teams understand the priorities for the day, week and month. Further development of a continuous improvement culture within the site where everyone has accountability and helps promote an improvement culture. Taking the lead in production making key decisions around product integrity and technical issues. Working to deadlines and to customer time constraints prioritising with organised and effective planning. Continually setting out best practice in operations management, reporting on key deliverables. In terms of background the ideal candidate will have: A manufacturing management background ideally in an FMCG or food environment. Examples of delivering operational targets through teams in fast paced environments. Previous success of developing teams and developing strong engagement plans. Experience of working with a variety of stakeholders to deliver success in operations. Able to demonstrate a proactive approach to continuous improvement and ability to drive and be involved in added value projects. Ability to plan, prioritise the key areas within operations having both a strategic and tactical approach. Strong communication skills - visible in the factory, approachable. Clear and concise in written and presentation format. A site that has a clear investment strategy for the next 3 years alongside strong, long term, customer relationships is a great attraction for an Operational candidate looking for their next move.
