Job overview
The post holder will provide management and leadership for the entire Broadmoor Hospital site for specified shifts within an agreed framework across the 24 hour, 7-day week period. The successful candidate will take an on-site lead in operational issues working across the Directorates and providing a visible presence in all patient areas.
The post holder will need to demonstrate excellent leadership skills to review, allocate, deploy and coordinate nursing resources for Broadmoor Hospital across their shift. Out of hours, the post holder will be the Senior Manager on site and as such is responsible for ensuring the safe and secure operation of Broadmoor Hospital.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Site Manager at Broadmoor Hospital, this can be offered as either a secondment or Full Time position based upon the candidate; and the perspective post holder will ideally have a proven track record as a Clinical Band 7 Nurse with the ability to lead and influence others.
The successful candidate will be an experienced Clinician who is able to work well under pressure, and communicate and engage with all Hospital staff as an exemplary role model. The successful candidate will work in a proactive manner, which has patients and staff at the centre of what they do.

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
1. Registered Mental Health Nurse on relevant part of NMC Register
2. Active on NMC Register
3. Evidence of professional Development
4. Certificate in leadership & management
5. Mentorship Qualification & experience of Supervision and teaching of staff.
Desirable criteria
1. Post Graduate healthcare or management/leadership qualification
2. Evidence of Continuing Professional Development at post graduate level
3. A Relevant degree
4. Specialist nursing qualification
5. ILS/ALS
6. Trained in Incident Command
7. Current or previous training in PMVA / PPE.
Experience
Essential criteria
1. Relevant Experience as inpatient Clinical Leader/Manager level or above.
2. Experience of managing complex situations and/or incidents
3. Experience of staff management, including disciplinary matters
4. Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams
5. Experience of providing clinical supervision
6. Experience of Managing & coordinating Clinical Resourcing to service needs.
