Join our dynamic CAE Presales Team, a group of expert consultants dedicated to providing top-tier presales support to our sales teams and customers. We focus on delivering cutting-edge solutions across key technology pillars, ensuring our clients receive best-in-class products and services.
As a Solutions Architect, you will play a vital role in positioning and selling CAE’s solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with our sales teams, acting as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their requirements and aligning them with the right technology solutions. Your impact will be directly felt in the success of our sales efforts and project deliveries.
This role involves becoming a key point of contact for customers, managing presales requests via a structured ticketing system, and ensuring timely responses within set SLAs. You will also uphold our high-quality standards, report on utilisation, and support pipeline management to drive growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and drive opportunities for networking and security solutions with both new and existing customers.
* Support CAE sales teams throughout the sales cycle for networking-related solutions.
* Collaborate with CAE’s vendor and distribution partners to create Bill of Materials (BoMs) and proposals.
* Stay up to date with leading networking technologies and vendors, including:
o Cisco (Routing, Switching, Wireless, Security)
o HPe/Aruba Networking & Wireless
o WAN solutions
o Telephony solutions (Cisco & Microsoft)
* Research and introduce new networking solutions that align with CAE’s growth strategy.
* Create compelling proposal documents and respond to Bids/RFPs/Tenders as required.
* Conduct customer demonstrations, either independently or by coordinating with vendors.
* Influence sales outcomes by positioning the best-fit solutions, driving both revenue and profitability.
* Maintain strong internal processes, ensuring:
o Efficient management of presales requests and escalations.
o Adherence to internal SLAs and processes.
o Clear and timely updates on presales requests and pipeline status.
o Early identification and escalation of potential risks or issues.
o High levels of customer satisfaction.
* Ensure compliance with Security, Safety, Health & Environmental policies.
What You Bring
Required:
* Proven experience in a similar presales or customer solution design role.
* Strong technical expertise in networking and security solutions.
* Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
* Ability to engage customers, understand their pain points, and recommend tailored solutions.
* Industry-recognised certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or equivalent).
* Experience responding to Bids, RFPs, and Tenders.
