Hours of Work: Hours are set to meet the needs of the business but are a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.

Reporting to the Head of Academy Medical and Sports Science and Lead Academy S&C Coach, to lead the schoolboys strength and conditioning design, delivery and continual evaluation all areas of off-field conditioning within the Academy schoolboy programme, adopting an age/training history specific approach.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the schoolboy S&C delivery of Strength & Conditioning programmes and the Academy Medical staff in the design, planning and implementation of return-to-play programmes.
* Collection and analysis of daily condition monitors (wellness) and readiness to re-perform monitoring, applying appropriate interventions where necessary.
* Execution of physical attribute testing procedures, data collation and analysis, including player reviews and relevant intervention prescriptions.
* Designing, implementing and reviewing individualised Strength and Conditioning programmes for lower and upper body strength and power.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* To coordinate and deliver the strength and conditioning program for the academy schoolboy players, whilst working with all members within the sports science and medical department, including the Lead Academy S&C Coach.
* Have constant communication with the Head of Academy Sports Science and Medicine and Lead Academy S&C Coach.
* Working in collaboration with the coaching department to ensure the multidisciplinary team is aligned.
* Communicate and promote the Academy culture creating an elite environment for the development of young players.
* Communicate and engage with parents/guardians where appropriate.
* Monitor the wellbeing of Academy players at all times, liaising with the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
* Assist the academy sports science and medical staff in the planning and implementation of physiological training games programme, monitoring external/internal/psycho-social training load through the use of GPS, heart rate and session RPE data where required, particularly in the return to play process.
* Assist the Academy Medical staff in the design, planning and implementation of return-to-play, pre-habilitation and rehabilitation programmes.
* Contribute to the delivery of performance education sessions to all players, parents and relevant staff.
* Ensure the Academy Strength & Conditioning services are consistently operating at best-practice standards.
* Maintain the professional standards of the Sports Science and Medical department at all times.
* Provide a clear link between players transitioning from the schoolboy to scholar training, staying in constant communication with the PDP staff.
* Support department staff in maintaining sports science/strength & conditioning equipment and consumables.
* Contribute with verbal and written reports to Academy multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to both Academy and first team departmental.
* Continuous Professional Development (CPD) whilst conducting regular research into areas of contemporary sport and exercise science.

* BASES Accreditation (or working towards)
* UKSCA Accreditation
