Dean Close Foundation are looking to appoint an Organ Scholar for our Choral and Music department. This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to immerse themselves in musical life at Dean Close and Tewkesbury Abbey. This is a fixed term role for 12 months, with the successful candidate starting in September 2025. This is suitable role of a postgraduate or gap year student, with potential this could be extender for a second year. Roles and responsibilities include: To play for services in the school Chapel as required To act as repetiteur for Choral Society, Chamber Choir and Chapel Choir rehearsals To assist with stewarding and accompanying music scholarship auditions, school concerts and ABRSM examinations To take weekly music theory / aural classes covering Grades 1-5 with Choristers and other music scholars To assist with the training of the choristers of Tewkesbury Abbey Schola Cantorum Early applications are encouraged, and applicants may be invited to interview prior to the closing date.
