As a User Researcher, you'll be engaged in complex technology projects within the UK's Defence, Intelligence, and Military Agencies, planning and executing user research studies using various methods, such as interviews, usability testing, surveys, and ethnographic research.
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you'll analyse user data to offer actionable insights. Additionally, you'll create user archetypes, journey maps, and other design artefacts to communicate insights and effectively support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Planning and executing user research studies.
* Analysing user data to provide actionable insights.
* Creating user archetypes, journey maps, and other design artefacts.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Minimum Requirements:
* British Passport Holder with active DV (Developed Vetting) Clearance.
* Previous Defence, Military, Policing, National Security, Counter Terrorism, or Justice Project involvement.
* Expert in applying user research methodologies across complex defence/government environments.
* Ability to excel within a multidisciplinary Agile team to design and deliver people-centred services.
* Working knowledge of how to research accessibility needs or assisted digital needs.
* Line management experience - mentoring/training other user researchers.
* Advanced communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage conflict and convey difficult messages with tact and sensitivity.
* Strong consultancy and leadership skills and confidence in exploring problem spaces with clients to determine the most appropriate way forward.
