About Style Acre Style Acre is an Oxfordshire-based, award-winning and forward-looking charity supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and physical needs. We have over 35 supported living households, 3 community day hubs and a successful work programme, supporting more than 250 people. We are rated Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We are looking for a caring, organised and can do person to join our team at our flagship Blewbruy Tea Room. This is a wonderful opportunity to provide support for adults with learning disabilities, when working at our busy tearoom. Your role would be to work side by side with the supported person, enabling them to complete tearoom tasks, alongside the team. This could be anything from preparing salads, baking, serving customers and helping to keep our tearoom clean and tidy. Main Purpose Responsibility for the management and growth initially for the Style Acre Tearoom with potential to increase the portfolio of catering social enterprises for Style Acre. To ensure an ongoing source of revenue for the charity and provide enriching and stimulating work opportunities for people with learning disabilities. The role will can potentially be a job share and has scope to move into other catering areas externally to the tearoom. Principal Responsibilities Current Catering social enterprise (Tearoom): Responsibility for all aspects of the day to day management of the Tearoom, ensuring a safe and effective environment for staff, volunteers, customers and those on work placements. Ensure adherence to appropriate health and safety procedures, that all mandatory requirements are met and full compliance to Environmental Health registration. Recruitment and retention of a catering team to be able to deliver a high quality of customer service. Source and order appropriate supplies to be able to run the catering enterprises efficiently and to a high standard. Liaison with Day Opportunities management and Work Programme team to ensure the Tearoom support a positive environment for the people we support to participate in appropriate and stimulating work. As directed by the Social enterprise Manager to market and promote the Tearoom and take responsibility for managing and/or hosting seasonal and other events at the catering venues. Maintain Style Acre’s position in the local community and deliver excellent quality and customer service. Staff and Volunteer Management Line Management and Supervision of the Catering team. Maintain oversight of the weekly staffing and volunteer rotas, in liaison with the local managers / supervisors to ensure sufficient staff and volunteers are available to cover the opening requirements. To undertake any other duties of a similar nature and level of responsibility which may be required by your employer. Finance To ensure all monies are handled in accordance with the Charities policies and procedures, due diligence and are accounted for and safely managed developing further controls as required. Monitor, review and manage the turnover, costs and operating result of the catering social enterprises to ensure targets are achieved and exceed expectations. Work with the Social Enterprise Manager and Finance team to review performance and develop annual Budgets and Forecasts Potential growth in role To develop a business plan to grow our catering offering Work with the Social Enterprise manager to set up and delivery an outside catering social enterprise. To work proactively with the Social Enterprise Manager and Chief Executive to develop strategies and identify new opportunities for the future growth of our Social Enterprise portfolio. To be responsible for the setting up of new Catering Social Enterprises when opportunities have been agreed.
