The Company
This organisation is a leading player in Chemicals and Ingredients for the FMCG market. They provide their products to various sectors from food to pharmaceutical to construction. As a global operation, they are established in over 75 countries, offering you stability and career progression.
The Role
As the new EMEA Director of Innovation, you will play a leading role in the business's Coatings & Adhesives section. You can be based anywhere in Europe but expect frequent travel. Your duties will include:
1. Develop and extend inherent application development capacity across the coating & construction sectors
2. Work with suppliers on innovation/new formulation development and optimisation
3. Matrix management handling all technical and project responsibility, CAPAX etc
4. Provide technical solutions and application training to internal stakeholders & customers
5. Take part in customer visits, provide technical presentations
6. Develop proof of concept prototype formulations
Your Skills & Experience
To be successful you will need:
1. Degree in Material Science/Chemistry
2. Solid tenure working experience in coatings/construction laboratory.
3. Broad knowledge of CASE applications/markets
4. Confident with presenting technical & product information to internal & external stakeholders
5. Excellent communication skills in English, able to lead and motivate a team and work independently.
