PURPOSE
To work as part of the Business Development Team in a defined geographical area developing a sales pipeline and creating new business opportunities from both existing and new clients, across targeted sectors in order that we achieve our significant growth plan.

Algeco is the leader in modular accommodation not only in the UK but around the world. We provide more buildings for hire than anyone else, including modular buildings for sale and rent, and off-site permanent buildings for sale for temporary, semi-permanent and permanent use.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and maintain existing relationships to ensure advanced knowledge of upcoming projects i.e. future pipeline.
* Develop a pipeline of opportunities in both private and public sectors and own these through to successful conversion up to the point of handing over to the operations team.
* Develop a strategy to grow market share in new sectors, supported by analysis and research on clients and required products.
* Build new client networks with the aim of securing new opportunities.
* Create opportunities for the head of sales- Modular Hire to attend high-level meetings in support of business growth.
* Support the wider business when opportunities dictate a Group offering.
* Understand the Algeco Modular Rental offering and ensure it is correctly interpreted and pitched to the client for specific opportunities.
* Maintain and record all activity on the company CRM system and complete monthly pipeline/business development reports (and ad hoc reports as required).
* Be part of a team that delivers targets to achieve revenue growth year-on-year.
* Maintain up-to-date market knowledge of competitors.
* Work with the Sales Director – Modular Hire to develop strategies for converting opportunities into workload and collaborate with estimating teams within the business for efficient submission of quotations.
* Meet and where possible exceed sales targets while demonstrating a high level of commercial awareness.
* Attend trade events, promoting the Mod Hire division and the wider Algeco business.
* Actively seek new framework opportunities and refresh existing frameworks.
* Work within a close-knit team where communication and sharing of information are pivotal to success.
* Develop product knowledge along with a wider understanding of the current rental & sales markets.
* Develop sales strategies & marketing campaigns appropriate to the market sectors including time-appropriate campaigns.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
* Understanding of the construction industry and relevant regulations associated with the market sectors (especially building regulations).
* Ideally, experience in an External Field Sales Role.
* Experience in a consultative sales environment.
* Proven track record of delivering results against targets.
* An established network of relevant industry relationships.
* Knowledge of the Education, Health, and Construction industries.
* Experience with project procurement options.
* Proven success in selling high-value solutions.
* Experience in creating and implementing business development campaigns.
