This is an exciting opportunity to join our IT EUC (End User Computer) Support team, in a full-time role based at Coldharbour. This role will be working across a wide sway of technologies, applications and on the Windows 10 platform. Gaining a wide exposure to the latest desktop hardware and software, together with managing, supporting, installing, and fixing a wide variety of Windows based ‘end user’ devices and their operating platforms.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the EUC Support team in Kent. Supporting our officers across both Essex Police and Kent Police is vitally important, so patience, tact and positivity is required to put our operational officers at ease and able to work through their problems. Working for a collaborative department, you will be required to travel to other Police sites, therefore a valid driving licence is essential.
Part of the role includes joining the out of hours on call support rota (1 week in every 5) supporting Kent Police outside of core hours (Mon – Fri 5pm to 8am and Sat – Sun 24 hours).
The successful candidate must be able to evidence:
1. A working knowledge of supporting and troubleshooting the Windows 10 Operating System or academic learning in the ICT field.
2. Understanding and knowledge of the main key Microsoft Office applications including Office 365.
3. Effective communication skills, preferably gained within a customer service environment.
4. Attention to detail when demonstrating tasks which require a high level of accuracy and detail which ensures ability in maintaining approved working practices and systems.
5. Driving Licence.
Please also evidence any experience in below desirable criteria, however, development and training will be provided:
1. Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory.
2. Knowledge and understanding of basic networking.
3. An understanding of the principles of ITIL in a support services arena.
4. Academic learning in the ICT field.
The role is a 2nd line office base role with your primary base of work as the Coldharbour Police Station in Aylesford Kent, remotely supporting officers and staff across Kent and Essex.

Kent Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £37,932.00.
Kent Police and Essex Police have separate salary grading systems therefore the salary for this position will be dependent on which home office force you are appointed to. This will be discussed with the successful applicant before a final offer is made.
