Job overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen to work with the Oxford Radiology Research Unit (ORRU) within Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust as a Research Services Manager. We are looking for an enthusiastic Research Services Manager to deliver research studies and development in Radiology as well as coordinate research activities within our organisation that have a radiology component. This includes facilitating collaboration between departments and ensuring a quality service is provided to support over 300 research studies that use Radiology's services.
ORRU has a vital role in leading and facilitating clinical and scientific research and development in all aspects of cross-sectional imaging. We ensure quality and provision of clinical trial services is in accordance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
Main duties of the job
The Research Services Manager is a critical role that will be based at the Churchill Hospital and responsible for line management duties across a friendly multi-disciplinary team of nurses, radiographers, administrators, and data managers. You will be a highly motivated individual with excellent communication, organisational, and time management skills and must be able to demonstrate excellent teamwork, resilience, and a real ‘can do’ attitude.
You should be familiar with research methodologies and data collection techniques as you will play a key role in delivering high quality support for research projects across OUHFT which are supported by the Radiology Research Unit. You will have strong project management skills and excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments, ensuring projects are set up efficiently, to a high quality, and delivered on time. You will have knowledge of ethical considerations and regulations related to research and data collection.
You will oversee the budgeting process for research projects, including cost estimation, resource allocation, and expenditure tracking. In addition, you will have excellent communication, administrative, and IT skills and supportive of new initiatives that align with the Trust's research strategy.
