The Opportunity/Role
Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role supports our operation based in Bedford to ensure the ongoing supply of materials to meet the requirements of the production schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
* Raising purchase orders, ensuring timely placement & delivery of items in line with production planning requirements.
* Monitor & track inventory levels using business systems (ERP AX12) and forecasting spreadsheets.
* Manage all Stock Adjustment Journals, ensuring accurate data input at all times.
* Raise Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders for Non-Stocked Items – Consumables, Packaging materials, Subscriptions, Training, Tooling, PPE etc.
* Ensure Bills of Materials are correct and in line with latest drawings.
* Maintain good communication and relationships with suppliers.
Requirements:
* Good administrative, planning & organizational skills.
* Previous experience within a purchasing role.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* IT Literate - good MS Excel proficiency. Experience of using an ERP system is required, MS AX12 highly desirable.
