CNC Machine Setter/Operators Salary for £11.50 - £17.00 DOE
Temp – Perm 37.5 Per Week
Shifts include; 6.00am to 2.00pm Monday to Thursday and 6.00am to 11.30am Friday
2.00pm to 10.00pm Monday to Thursday and 11.30am to 5.00pm Friday
Our client, a leader in manufacturing, is looking for multiple CNC setter operators to join their growing team. CNC machinists operate and set the machines, ensuring that products are produced efficiently; that they are of the right quality, quantity, and cost; and that they are produced on time.
Key Skills
1. An ideal candidate would have experience of Fanuc controller, the ability to edit CNC programmes, has the ability to use CMM for inspections and run multiple similar machines.
2. Responsibility for Quality and Inspection, taking ownership for cleaning and de-burring of parts.
3. Maintain standards of a 5S plus Safety culture.
4. Set the machines using the set-up sheets, tooling/fixtures, and Edgecam programmes provided by the Production Engineering Department.
5. Monitor performance to ensure the cycle time meets the estimated costed time given on the works traveller.
6. Carry out in-cycle inspection of the parts produced, using micrometres, verniers, and coordinate measuring machine reports.
7. Where required, the completion of an Actual Dimensional Report Sheet (ADRS) for each part may need to be completed.
8. Ensuring non-conforming parts are reported immediately, with root cause established and documented.
Essential Skills and Experience
1. Experience in all aspects of Production Machining both Manual & CNC.
2. Experience and knowledge in working with Duplex and Nickel Alloy Materials.
3. Good numerical and literacy skills.
4. Able to do metric conversions from drawings.
5. Experience of machine part inspections using gauges.
6. Ability to run multiple similar machines.
