Salary: £26,215 - £40,660 per annum
About the Role:
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Audit Officer to ensure the quality and compliance of our Initial and Large Site Accommodations across the East of England. You will audit the work of Inspection Officers, verifying adherence to contractual, statutory, and internal standards, and recommend improvements to processes and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Audit Execution:Conduct regular audits of accommodations and services inspected by Inspection Officers, including monthly visits to diverse accommodation types.Conduct pre-audits of proposed accommodations to ensure compliance before go-live.Review building compliance documentation (SOPs, Fire Risk Assessments, Gas/Electric certificates, etc.).Audit the effectiveness of Inspection Officers in verifying accommodation staff's compliance.
2. Reporting & Documentation:Provide detailed audit reports to the Senior Auditor and Senior Inspectors, including recommendations for improvement.Review compliance documents and previous inspection reports to identify gaps.Prepare reports detailing best practices and developmental areas for Inspection Officers and processes.
3. Compliance & Issue Resolution:Identify and report non-conformances in accordance with company guidelines.Collaborate with the business to track and resolve audit issues.Ensure new and existing accommodations are set up for optimal utilization.Sign off proposed accomodations as ready to go live.
4. Service User Welfare Audits:Assess inspection reports and activities to evaluate the effectiveness of inspectors' actions related to service user support.Audit processes for ensuring adequate documentation, doctor/school registrations, and access to local services.Audit welfare check procedures.Work in partnership with the Safeguarding Team.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration:Facilitate and attend inspections/audits by UKVI and other statutory bodies.Collaborate with accommodation staff, inspection teams, and subcontractors.Meet with onsite accomodation staff, and inspectors, to clarify audit type and processes.
6. Continuous Improvement:Recommend improvements to company guidelines and processes.Pursue personal development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Essential Skills & Experience:
7. Experience in conducting audits or inspections.
8. Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Strong attention to detail and report-writing skills.
11. Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.
12. Full UK Driving Licence and access to own vehicle (essential).
