Company: ASCO UK Limited Employment Type : Full Time/Permanent Location: Aberdeen M-F 8am-5pm, 40 hrs/week, role eligible for hybrid working, 3 days in the office/2 days from home. Reporting to the Customs Manager, this role will lead a team of freight forwarding professionals, communicating Company goals, safety practices and deadlines. They will provide support to management including with recruitment and training, motivate the team and support their development. Responsibilities include to: Working with Business Development and General Manager to set customer targets for development and growth of freight forwarding business Develop freight forwarding team by answering team member questions and providing resolution Oversee team member work as regards quality and guideline compliance and deliver the operational day to day management of the team Provide quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints. Ensure company brand materials and physical working spaces meet and exceed company presentation standards. Assist the Customs Manager with internal and external training. Attend client meetings alongside the Customs Manager and maintain and manage Client KPIs. Contribute to department cost management and profit and loss forecasting. Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours): Strong technical freight forwarding knowledge with at least 5 years of experience Experience in a team lead/supervisory role Well-developed influencing, motivational and leadership skills Experience in training/coaching/developing others Self-motivated and results focused.
