Are you a skilled Management Accountant looking to make a significant impact? We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide financial data and advice, ensuring our finance operations remain efficient and competitive. In this role, you will analyze financial performance, monitor spending, and prepare insightful reports. Your accounting expertise, attention to detail, confident and engaging interpersonal skills will be crucial in offering strategic insights on business decisions, investments, risk management, and budget planning.
Your day to day:
* Lead the month end processes.
* Preparation of the monthly management accounts for senior management within reporting deadlines.
* Manage balance sheet reconciliations.
* Participate in strategic budgeting and forecasting to drive financial/business planning and decision making.
* Provide P&L variance analysis with commentary, and recommendations for improvement.
* Recommending strategies to reduce costs.
* Work closely with other departments to provide financial guidance and support.
* Offering professional input on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance.
* Effectively communicating financial data to non-financial managers.
* Evaluating, developing and managing financial systems & policies, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Analysing, managing and assisting in reducing monetary risk.
* Coaching and mentoring members within the finance team.
* Engage in auditing and taxation techniques.
* Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times.
* Operate within all regulatory requirements related to financial control, reporting and obligations.
What you bring to the team:
* A background in basic accounting and financial management (3 – 5 years minimum).
* Qualified by experience, qualified or part qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA.
* Ideally experienced in Sage 200 and/or Microsoft Business Central.
* In depth understanding of current accounting principles.
* Ability to analyse and summarise complex information.
* Knowledge of financial tools.
* Good personal interaction skills, strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work well in a team.
* Spreadsheet and accountancy software programme proficiency.
* Experience in a similar role in a similar industry/ sized family-owned business.
* Creativity and critical thinking skills.
* The ability to work well with others.
* Thorough attention to detail and analytical approach.
