We are currently offering a welcome payment of £12,000 (£4,000 on joining the trust, a further £4,000 on 13th month of service and a final £4,000 payment on your 25th month of service) to join us as a full-time or part-time permanent General Radiology Consultant with a subspecialist interest in Cardiothoracic Imaging. We also offer a relocation payment of up to £8,000 in addition to this subject to relevant terms and conditions.

The successful candidate will join a cohesive team of 16 Radiologists at Salisbury in an energetic and proactive Radiology Department where working together flexibly and driving forward new developments is essential.
We have recently refurbished a communal reporting room with single reporting stations both in the main department and new second MR suite. There is also the opportunity for home reporting with the set-up of new home reporting workstations in 2023.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in both Thoracic and Cardiac Imaging and General Radiology, however individual specialist Thoracic and/or Cardiac skills will also be considered and the job description can be adapted according to skill mix. You will be expected to participate in on call (frequency 1 in 12). This involves providing on-site early evening working (5-7.30pm) and weekend daytime on-site working (9am-3pm). Overnight and weekend on-call working is supported by teleradiology with outsourcing for CT from 7pm to 9am on weekdays and 3pm to 9am at weekends. Consultant-to-Consultant referral pathway is in operation out of normal working hours and at the weekend. There is a separate networked Interventional Radiology on-call rota.
Applicants must have FRCR or equivalent and are expected to hold, or to obtain within six months, UK Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training and entry on the Specialist Register.

Essential criteria
1. Possession, or within 6 months of possession, of a CCT in Radiology leading to entry onto GMC Specialist Register
2. FRCR or equivalent
3. Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
