About the Role
We are looking for a Procurement Operations Manager to lead buyers across various locations in the UK. This role reports to the Procurement Operations Cluster Director and works closely with other Procurement Operations Managers.
What You Will Do
In this role, you’ll lead and coach a team of professional buyers, ensuring compliance with company procedures, purchasing policies, and financial instructions. Facilitating standard processes, you’ll enable efficient and harmonious task execution across all sites.
Responsibilities include:
1. Implementing procurement strategies to secure supply, generate cost savings, and create value.
2. Aligning with business partners on procurement initiatives, you’ll manage SLA fulfillment and guide the team to achieve KPIs.
3. Developing buying channel strategies, identifying opportunities to contract volume, and reducing ad-hoc purchases are key aspects of the role.
4. Collaboration with the Tender and Bid teams to find synergy opportunities for local categories by reviewing spend and suppliers across sites.
5. Working closely with global procurement, the goal is to increase contract compliance for the categories.
Who You Are
To be successful, a bachelor’s degree in procurement or comparable professional education is preferred, along with proven experience in a similar role. In addition, you should possess:
1. Experience in project and people management, and a strong interest in leading and developing people across multiple sites and countries, are highly valued.
2. Strong analytical and conceptual skills, along with experience in leading improvement and change management projects, are beneficial.
3. The ability to manage stakeholder expectations and work effectively in a complex matrix organization is important.
4. Being a proactive team player with excellent communication skills and a “make-it-happen” attitude is vital.
5. An independent, responsible, and structured working style with a process-oriented mindset is also appreciated.
