Due to continued growth and market development, we are now seeking to appoint a Service Engineer – Electrical, to be field based covering Central Scotland (including Edinburgh) from a flexible location. Training Provided Ideally, you will have experience of the servicing and maintenance of electrical fire systems equipment, such as GENT, Notifier Advanced, Kentec. If you also have experience of Ansul R102 systems and servicing Fire Extinguishers, that’s great, but if not and you have the right aptitude and some of the right skills, we can train you in the rest We would like you to have some demonstrable experience of Electrical service/installations possibly in a hospitality or commercial environment – maybe you have experience in domestic or industrial electrical systems – either way, we would like to hear from you. Job Purpose: To undertake all works within the Area in an efficient and safe manner, with repairs undertaken as appropriate. To ensure all planned maintenance is carried out in line with its scheduled date. Key Accountabilities To ensure that all equipment and services are maintained and operated in a safe condition to comply with Health & Safety To monitor regular inspection procedures (preventative maintenance programme) of equipment. Record inspection reports To keep logs of inspection reports and remedial work To have working knowledge of statutory regulations and to ensure awareness of all safety procedures To undertake electrical repairs and installations as appropriate To report any defects at time of service visit To carry out works specified To be responsible for vehicle and stock control of materials To complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time About You Some experience of electrical fire life safety works, within the services sector would be great Ideally City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent IEE 18th Edition Regulations Knowledge of Health and Safety and safe working practices Be proactive and capable of anticipating potential faults Full UK driving licence Able to work at heights of up to 3 metres and lift weights of up to 25kg Ability to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Customer focused, possess good organisational skills. Does this sound like you?
