We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Bristol. About the Role As an Accounts Assistant, youll work closely with our Accounts Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable and receivable functions. Youll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and contributing to efficient month-end processes. Key Responsibilities Process supplier invoices, validate expense claims, and ensure timely payments Prepare and issue customer invoices in line with company procedures Reconcile bank, supplier, and customer accounts Assist with maintaining financial records and supporting month-end closing Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payments or account entries Provide general administrative support to the finance team What Were Looking For Experience: 12 years in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role Background in accounts payable and receivable processes Experience in invoice processing, reconciliation, and ledger management Skills: Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines Proficient in accounting software (SAP or similar systems preferred) High attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication skills for both internal and external interactions Analytical approach to resolving financial discrepancies Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience Progress toward professional qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, or CIMA is preferred Why Join Akkodis?
