The role:
Reporting to the Procurement Lead; you will have an opportunity to support the strategic and tactical direction to identify opportunities to improve commercial, contractual and supplier management activities to deliver savings and service delivery improvements to support our homes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for supporting the Procurement
2. Manage a preferred supplier list and support the negotiation process ensuring that homes purchasing processes are being followed.
3. Analyse monthly supplier reports, spend data identifying trends to support cost reduction initiatives.
4. Reacting to change in demand or legislation
5. Liaising with other departments and key stakeholders across the organisation to support and mobilise projects to completion.
6. Supporting users of online shopping portal for ordering resident lifestyle items.
7. Monitor and manage the Procurement email mailbox
8. To identify new savings opportunities and run review activity through flexible engagement with other teams and departments within Care UK
What We're Looking For:
1. Minimum of 5 years Procurement experience, care sector preferred but not essential
2. Able to self-manage and organise
3. Desire to Deliver ‘value for money’ to the business while maintaining quality
4. Possess good soft skills
