An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Finance Business Partnering Team. This is a key role in providing a professional and customer focused finance service to the Group Support Services Team, Housing Services Team, and the IT Directorate.
You will need to have experience working within a Management Accounts function with a good understanding of financial processes and reporting, including regular financial forecasting and budget setting experience.

* Sound knowledge and understanding of accepted accounting practices, principles and procedures
* Knowledge and experience of management accounts and statutory accounts preparation and support, budget monitoring and variance analysis reporting
* Ability to identify errors and make corrections to financial records
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (e.g. excel, word etc)
* Understanding of Value for Money / efficiency
* Sound knowledge of internal audit principles
* Previous experience providing accountancy services in a medium to large sized organisation
* Experience in supporting and advising budget holders to develop budgets
* Experience of working with external care service commissioners to monitor and report in line with contractual financial targets and performance measures
* Experience of utilising a computerised financial system
* Experience of tracing transactions from a management information system to an accounting system and vice versa
