KBR support the hydrocarbon and government services markets on six continents. Serving their customers through diverse business units, KBR offer challenging assignments on some of the world's largest and most complex projects. As a Lead Designer, you will be responsible for leading a team of designer, liaising with other disciplines, client and vendors and coordinating and working with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.
REQUIREMENTS
• Civil and Structural Designer with a formal qualifications
• Minimum experience of 10 years
• Proficient in the use of E3D and be able to provide advice / Guidance to junior designers
• Ability to manage a team of deisgners located overseas
• Creation of project specific job notes, guides and training material to support consistent deliverables
• Organising schedules and resources within the team to achieve required deliverables to project deadlines
• Breaking project tasks down to drawing level and estimating resources required to complete milestones
• Competence in the use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in identifying priorities and be agile in addressing emerging urgent issues as they arise
• Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Ability to work in an office based role DESIRED
• Structural Catalogues and Specifications for Smart Plant 3D to add project specific joints, fittings and sections
• Structural Templates for Smart Plant 3D
• Draw Administration, adding project specific backing sheets, symbols, logos and styles
• Creation of regular reports to track weight, MTO, etc. as required
• Skills or interest in programming and customisation using either PML or C#
