Job responsibilities
Analytical
Assistin creating and run reports in Microsoft SQL Server.
Completesthe preparation and quality assurance of routine internal and externalinformation returns relevant to the postholders area of responsibility.
Assistin ensuring that Navigo's information systems meet organisational data needsand support mandatory data collection and performance indicators.
SupportPerformance team to provides analytical support to Navigo by developing anddelivering customised ad-hoc management reports/information packs.
Assistsin preparation of data for regular meetings
Ensuresthat all relevant data is received and input onto the information systems toenable Navigo's reporting timetables to be met.
Scrutinises Navigo performance on national mental health dashboards, investigating anydiscrepancies between local data and national submissions and make amendmentsto the national reporting process, as necessary
Interpretsand benchmarks national and local data to support strategic function.
Maintainsa detailed knowledge of NHS data definitions, standards and guidance onhealthcare information to ensure that systems are implemented and maintained.
Manipulationof large datasets and creation of spread sheets as well as analysing andresolving queries and discrepancies.
Analysessituations to identify and resolve problems relating to the Mental Healthclinical system and the Incident and Accident Reporting System
Supportsin the implementation, on-going development and maintenance of Navigo information systems used by the Mental Health Service to ensure they meet theinformation needs of Navigo.
Investigatesnational dataset post deadline files to improve data quality.
Ensuresthe Data Quality Maturity Index is kept to a high level
Extractsand analyses patient clinical records, applying sound judgement to interpretinformation that may not be easily coded

Experience
Essential
1. Proven skills/training up to immediate level in MS Excel and basic data analysis
2. Familiarity with data entry, data validation, and preparing data for analysis
3. Experience working with information systems, including data entry

4. Previous work experience related to data analytics
5. Experience of contractual key performance indicators and data submissions
6. Experience in creating SQL queries
7. Knowledge of NHS data quality standards
