Job summary This is a 10PA post to support the provision of the Paediatric Cardiology service. With 6 PA's being allocated to working clinically for United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and 4PA's allocated to working for University Hospitals of Leicester NHS trust as a joint appointment. The post will be split between PEC duties (60%) and tertiary level 1 centre duties (40%) which will be primarily based at ULTH, however regular cross site working with in Leicester is needed. The post will have an overall SPA split of 1.5 PA. The post holder will practice at an advanced level demonstrating a high level of autonomy and clinical decision-making. They will work as a highly specialised member of the inter-professional team to ensure that the clinical needs of the patient and families are met at all times. The post-holder will be fully accredited in Paediatrics. They will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work within multidisciplinary teams. The trust is proactively promoting quality improvement, practices clinical governance, and the appointee should be able to demonstrate skills in audit, risk management and evidence-based guidelines.
