The Role
A Manager with a SAP Controls focus within the team would typically be responsible for driving growth of all SAP service lines as part of the ERP & Business Systems team. This includes developing new business from existing clients and prospects, building relationships with blue-chip organizations, and establishing expertise in assurance and consulting support related to SAP.
Responsibilities
1. Managing sales activities such as responding to RFPs, audit tenders, bid management, proposal writing, and client presentations.
2. Leading and managing SAP security and controls engagements, including planning, execution, and reporting.
3. Evaluating the design and effectiveness of SAP controls across business cycles.
4. Overseeing client engagement outputs, including scoping, financial management, and deliverable review.
5. Building and maintaining relationships with clients at CIO, CFO, and Head of Internal Audit levels.
6. Collaborating with teams to design and implement controls for SAP implementation projects.
7. Promoting SAP and ERP capabilities within KPMG and informing other service groups of its value.
8. Expanding SAP services in specific segments and sectors.
9. Coaching team members and promoting skill development in SAP and related areas.
10. Leading product development and innovation in SAP GRC, data, and analytics technologies.
The Person
Experience and Background
1. Experience in SAP Security, including Basis & Role design.
2. Understanding of SAP business analysis and core financial processes.
3. Experience with SAP, Oracle, and other ERP systems.
4. Functional knowledge of SAP GRC, Financials, and BPC.
5. Strong understanding of SAP applications like ECC, S/4HANA.
6. Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley controls and compliance.
7. Ability to communicate complex technical data effectively.
8. Proven ability to develop client relationships and deliver within tight deadlines.
