* CCAB qualified accountant
* Evidence of continuous professional development in financial management and leadership
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential Criteria
* Significant post-qualification track record of achievement as a Finance Director or Deputy Director of Finance within the NHS or a similarly complex organisation
* Proven track record of leading financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
* Experience in financial reporting, governance, and regulatory compliance
* Demonstrated leadership in cost improvement programs (CIP), efficiency savings, and/or financial turnaround initiatives in an acute setting
* Experience of working closely with clinical divisions, operational managers, and executive teams, translating financial data into actionable insights
* Significant experience of engaging with external stakeholders such as NHS England, NHS Improvement, ICBs, auditors, and regulators
* Demonstrated experience in managing and developing high-performing finance teams
