About the role Being an Employment Specialist is an exciting and dynamic role, where no day is the same. You’ll be providing client support, such as CV production, interview techniques and searching for job opportunities. You’ll also be educating and engaging employers, sourcing job opportunities for your clients, and raising expectations around the ability of clients to access paid employment. We’re looking for two Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Specialists – one on a full-time contract and the other part-time – to join our team. As part of the Solent Mind IPS Hampshire team, you’ll be working with the Southern Health Mid and North Early Intervention Psychosis team to help their clients find and retain suitable employment. This position, with on-the-job training, is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in helping people with mental health needs across the north of Hampshire find meaningful and fulfilling employment. About you You’ll need to have excellent communication skills and a good understanding of the key difficulties and challenges faced by people with mental health issues in gaining or retaining employment.
