Job Overview
The Community Diagnostics Quality Manager will assist in the implementation and delivery of the Quality Strategy with specific duties in relation to supporting the delivery of UKAS/IQIPS accreditation across the Community Diagnostic Centre at Harpurhey, and the Respiratory and Sleep Physiology Department at North Manchester General Hospital.
Main duties of the job
1. To participate in reviewing non-conformance and incidents, acting as an expert on Root Cause Analysis techniques to analyse a broad range of clinical information across a wide range of clinical specialities.
2. Responsible for overseeing and monitoring adherence to IQIPS quality standards and developing strategies to achieve these.
3. To lead on the development, review, and implementation of an effective Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with current UKAS and governing body standards.
4. To lead on the development, review, and implementation of the Quality Manual for Physiological Services.

Essential
Essential criteria
* Educated to Masters or equivalent level of knowledge/experience
* Evidence of Risk Management training, in-depth knowledge of Root Cause Analysis
* IT skills and knowledge/computer literacy (Publisher, Word, Excel)
* Basic auditing qualification or willingness to complete
* Experience of Clinical Governance and Effectiveness
* Experience of working in the NHS
* Proven presentation skills, experience of training delivery
* Proven ability to influence and lead changes in practice
* An ability to work independently in an organised manner
* Must possess the ability to engage and motivate others.
Desirable criteria
* Qualification in teaching
* Evidence of Quality Improvement training and project planning
* Knowledge of Quality Standards such as UKAS or ISO
* Knowledge or experience working with electronic Quality Management Systems, e.g. Q-Pulse
