The Role As a Project Engineer, youll work closely with Sales Engineers during the pre-order stage and take full ownership of projects once they are handed over. This is a pivotal role where you will manage the day-to-day, and be responsible for ensuring smooth operations throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Sales Engineers on system design, estimating, and installation requirements during the pre-order stage. Take ownership of projects post-order, managing daily activities and ensuring successful implementation. Work with Design Engineers to produce detailed manufacturing drawings and attend site surveys. Procure equipment and services, ensuring timely delivery and installation. Conduct inspection visits to fabrication facilities, ensuring quality standards are met before dispatch. Communicate layout and installation arrangements to site engineers or customer representatives. Maintain accurate project records, including design notes and financial documentation. Assist with general project administration, including ordering equipment and arranging travel. Address financial cost overruns and ensure project milestones are met. The Ideal Candidate: You will be a highly skilled Project Engineer with at least five years of experience in an industrial engineering environment. Skills and experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in industrial engineering or a related field. Proven ability to manage multifaceted projects with a focus on quality, time, and budget. Strong planning and negotiation skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. Willingness and ability to travel internationally. Commutable distance to Wilmslow (within 20 miles).
