Resident Doctor Generalist
Location: Birmingham, The Harborne Hospital
Full time and part time roles available
Shifts: 12 hours patterned
Salary up to: £60,000- £68,000 per annum dependant upon experience (full time salary)
Contract: to start asap, minimum of 1 year commitment, ideally 2.
We’re looking for a General Surgical or Acute Medicine Resident Doctor to join our medical team at The Harborne Hospital, Birmingham, West Midlands.
The Harborne Hospital is our brand-new, purpose-built, state-of-the-art £100m facility that opened in January 2024. Built in partnership with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, it provides a wide range of medical specialties including Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, and Gynaecology, along with extensive Cancer care facilities.
This position is to cover our general wards and day-case areas, acting on Consultant-Led decisions in partnership with highly specialist Nurses. Responsibilities include pre-op or post-op treatments, clinical assessments, ward rounds, clerking admissions, reviewing discharges, assessing referrals, and providing immediate medical care such as leading on emergency cardiac arrest calls.

What you’ll bring:
* GMC Registration and License to Practice in the UK
* MBBS medical qualification
* A current ALS certificate
* NHS Trained - minimum completed year of 3 years specialty/IMT/CT Training
* Post Grad Exam MRCP or MRCS desirable
* A passion for teamwork, patient-focused care with the ability to build and share best practices
