Job summary Pankhurst House is an approved premises (AP) in Bedford for women. The AP takes women being released from prisons across the country with the majority coming from HMP Peterborough. The maximum capacity is currently 14, although this is due to increase to 17. Women may be at the AP for between 12 weeks and 12 months depending on their type of offence. The majority of patients would be from out of area, and many have complex needs and require support from secondary mental health services. Main duties of the job The post holder will hold a caseload and work within the principles of the agreed model of care for the service as laid down in the operational policy. The post holder will work as an autonomous practitioner within an integrated Multi-disciplinary team. This will involve the assessment planning, implementation and evaluation of the care provided and will liaise with all agencies involved with the client. The post holder will be confident and competent in administering IM injections and fully aware of the Medicines Management Guidance & associated policies.
