Projects typically range from £500k to £10m in value and include new builds and structural extensions for brands such as Premier Inn and Wetherspoons. They offer a stable pipeline of work and operate within a collaborative, quality-focused environment. Site Engineer - The Role: An exciting opportunity for a hands-on Site Engineer to join the delivery team on ground-up build and extension schemes. This is not a civils-heavy role — it is tailored to someone with structural and architectural experience who can support the project team with setting out, quality assurance, and subcontractor coordination. You will play a key role in delivering well-run, technically accurate projects that meet client expectations. Site Engineer - Accountabilities and key tasks: Setting out for foundations, drainage, structural steel, brickwork, and service runs Technical interpretation of drawings and specifications on site Supporting Site and Project Managers in monitoring site progress and technical compliance Quality assurance – completing checklists and recording inspections Liaising with subcontractors on technical delivery and resolving queries Maintaining accurate site records and assisting in the collation of as-built documentation Interfacing with design teams to ensure technical issues are addressed promptly Assisting with site health and safety compliance in relation to engineering tasks Site Engineer - The Person Proven experience as a Site Engineer with a main contractor or subcontractor Strong knowledge of structural build elements including foundations, drainage and steel frames Comfortable with setting out using total stations and digital levels Capable of supporting QA and handover processes Able to read and interpret technical drawings and provide on-site solutions Organised, detail-oriented, and able to work collaboratively with site teams CSCS card and relevant engineering qualifications (HNC/HND/Degree in Construction or Civil Engineering) The Reward: Competitive salary Car allowance and company benefits package Consistent project work within the hospitality sector Supportive and well-structured site teams Opportunity to work on well-known national brands Long-term local/regional work Please contact Foresight Search for more information on this, or any other vacancy
