MOD Projects Pre-Construction Manager
Mobile role - a location anywhere in the South East will be fine for this position.
Our client is a major contractor to the Defence Sector, overseeing Facilities Management and Maintenance contracts as well as standalone Construction Work across a wide range of Defence locations and Estates in the South East of England.
We are looking for someone with a military background or with clear military experience for this position. This role will be split between approximately 2 days per week from home and 3 days at MOD Sites. A car or car allowance is included in the package.
The position involves visiting MOD Project sites and carrying out initial planning and assessment of proposed projects before eventual handover to the construction team. You will liaise closely with the MOD and report to a Senior Project Manager. Responsibilities include developing an initial assessment and plan for construction and maintenance work, bringing in internal design and financial management expertise, and putting together a plan, estimate, assessment, and outline financial programme for the proposed project work.
This is a varied position with superb support from a large and successful PLC with a long-term relationship with the MOD.
We are looking for a well-rounded FM or Construction Manager with NEC Contract experience, who can liaise effectively with MOD senior personnel and assess and plan projects effectively.
Work covers a wide-ranging Property Portfolio, including infrastructure projects, Plant Asset renewal, HVAC, Chillers, Electrical Switch Gear, Life Safety Systems, CCTV, BMS, Hangar upgrades, MEP projects including ULEV, Demolition, and other facilities management services in the UK Defence Sector.
Excellent, stable, and interesting pre-construction management position in the defence sector for a Mechanical, Electrical, Civils, or Construction Manager. Superb prospects within a supportive team. 40-hour week. Driving license essential. Security clearance will be required.
