Our Radiology Team is seeking an enthusiastic and driven IEP Support Officer to join our team. This role will be key in ensuring the secure transfer of medical imaging data across NHS networks, while also preparing encrypted disks for legal purposes and prioritising image requests. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised and motivated to help deliver IEP medical imaging services.
Responsibilities:
* Ensuring the secure transfer of medical imaging data across NHS networks.
* Preparing encrypted disks in accordance with legal requirements.
* Monitoring and prioritising image requests to ensure timely delivery.
* Liaising with other teams to ensure smooth operations.
Main Duties of the Job
* Prepare encrypted disks for Medico-Legal purposes and complete any other tasks assigned by the Trust.
* Oversee and prioritise image transfer requests.
* Collaborate with MDT coordinators and healthcare professionals to ensure the correct images are transferred correctly.
* Ensure that accurate information is used to facilitate the rapid acquisition of images and reports.
* Work as part of a team and be a point of contact for the Image Transfer Team.
* Effectively communicate with staff, patients, and their representatives in a professional manner.
* Provide clear, non-technical explanations to users over the phone or in person and communicate with staff at all levels.
* Provide image data for audits and research purposes.
* Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information and images.
* Follow established policies and procedures for image transfer and storage.
* Provide regular status updates to the IEP Team leader and relevant stakeholders.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* ICDL previously ECDL Level 1 & 2 or BCS Level 2 Certificate in IT User Skills; or basic experience with information technology that can be demonstrated.
* Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration or equivalent business administration.
* NHS experience in a similar role or a functional skills level 2 (GCSE grade 4, or C) in English Language and Maths.
Experience
* Demonstrable experience with information technology systems and processes.
* The ability to remain level-headed during trying circumstances.
* IT applications: Experience using RIS, IEP, PACS or any other clinical application in an NHS environment.
* Experience in routinely collecting, collating, and reporting data and information.
Knowledge
* Basic understanding of business administration.
* An understanding of Radiology workflows.
* Understanding of data protection and information governance.
Skills
* Able and keen to learn new skills.
* Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.
