Your new role
As the Electrical Estimator within the business, you will be working on a broad range of new build and refurbishment electrical engineering projects across the UK & Ireland. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Managing the Estimating Department and cost control alongside producing reports, planning, and managing projects.
2. Collaborating with the Contracts Managers and the Procurement Team.
3. Conducting Tender Enquiry activities, considering commercial and technical aspects.
4. Assessing project risks and providing technical guidance and bid support.
5. Conducting site visits to understand tender requirements.
6. Developing relationships with industry networks and clients.
7. Assisting in the development of O&M Manuals.
What you'll need to succeed
Applicants should come from an electrical background, ideally a Qualified Electrician or a higher level qualification in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years’ electrical estimating experience. Requirements include:
1. Electrical/Electrical Engineering/Estimating experience.
2. Experience with Trimble estimating and costing systems.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent verbal, written, and numerical skills.
6. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
7. Possess the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
8. Exceptional negotiation and decision-making skills.
9. Team player with a positive can-do attitude.
