About the role
We are currently looking for a Lead Online Trading Manager to join us at One Stop. As the Online Trading Manager, you will oversee the sales and margin budget, managing the trading performance of our online channels through multiple delivery aggregators such as Deliveroo, Uber Eats, and Just Eat. You will be accountable for 5-10% of total company sales. Your role involves collaborating with stakeholders in the Customer and Product teams to ensure online recommendations and requirements are integrated early in key campaigns.
You will manage the planning and execution of trade content, working closely with the customer and product teams to monetize content while delivering a seamless customer experience. Additionally, you will oversee the online trade plan, activations, and maintain a rate card for buyers to sell online. Ensuring the online product range is up-to-date and compliant with in-store offers, promotions, and legislative changes is crucial.
You will be responsible for
• I Oversee the sales & Margin budget and Manage the trading performance of Online, through multiple delivery aggregators (Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat) plus future additional channels, accountable for c5-10% of total company sales
• I Manage the relationship with stakeholders in the Customer and Product teams to ensure that Online recommendations & requirements are considered at an early stage to enable Online to effectively manage key campaigns in a timely manner.
• I Manage the effective planning and execution of trade content, working closely with the customer team and product team to monetise content where possible, whilst continuing to deliver a seamless customer experience, ensuring our online trade plan is customer first and relevant
• I oversee the online trade plan, activations and maintain a rate card for buyers to sell Online.
• I ensure the online product range is maintained, and up to date in line with changes made to the in-store offer, promotions and legislative changes. I Work cross-functionally with teams to ensure quality and timely publishing of high-quality content to support trade strategies.
• I engage with our product team to manage our OnDemand pricing policy
• I regularly engage with key suppliers to activate relevant content across OnDemand platforms
• I ensure store-specific ranging is implemented, particularly Vending where products are not typically ranged on planograms.
• I support the Head of and online Operations & Development manager in the creation of our overall online strategy and growth drivers and the overall online team with projects and new initiatives
• I support the wider online team around operations, working to improve rejections via product selection and adjustments to ranging (e.g. Thresholds).
• I manage a small team that look after our online trade plan and ensure it executed in a timely manner
• I oversee store online trading hours, maximising them where possible and ensuring alcohol licensing is adhered to.
• I am responsible for producing relevant and timely business reports
• I keep abreast of developments in the wider business and market, such as range changes, promotions and product launches and new trends, Ensuring Online is in the hearts and minds of colleagues in their decision making and to drive new thinking
• I ensure legal compliance across all customer platforms, including but not limited to: Alcohol Licencing, GSCOP, Pricing Law, HFSS, Allergens, Calories and any future legislation.
• I ensure the accuracy of information, price and product images are correct at all times.
• I ensure product recalls are actioned swiftly to avoid supplying customers with unsafe products.
• I regularly review customer feedback to pick up any issues around product range, price, promotions or availability.
• I will monitor Product Availability with the support of the Supply Chain team.
• I will support the franchise team (and franchisees) with onboarding, ensuring their menus are accurate and comply with any legal legislation or licencing.
Technical Skills
• 5 years Experience of Online business models and economics, preferably food
• Strong strategy and proposition development as well as analytical skills
• Ability to bridge between strategic thinking and pragmatic implementation
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills
• Good commercial acumen and understanding
• Strong communication and storytelling skills
• Ability to influence at all levels
