Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of Finance Assistant to join a fantastic professional services business based in Bradford. The team are going from strength to strength and are now looking to add to the team.
This role will require someone with previous finance experience but who is early in their study journey.
Reporting into the Financial Controller, key duties of the Finance Assistant will include:
1. Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts including accruals, prepayments & journals
2. Balance sheet reconciliations
3. Maintenance of fixed assets & prepare depreciation schedules
4. Preparation of quarterly VAT return
5. Overhead/Variance analysis
6. Ad-hoc reporting
7. Month end processing and switch over
8. Dealing with residual balances
9. Bank reconciliations
10. Posting petty cash and reconciliation
11. Ensure all client transactions comply with Solicitors Accounts Rules
12. Input purchase ledger invoices on to system
13. Carry out general administration tasks as required
14. Produce ad-hoc MI using excel
15. Maintain confidentially in all matters relating to Partnership finances & client accounts
16. Assist with auditors requests
To be considered for this role we are looking for candidates with the following:
Previous experience of working within a finance function
Studying towards professional accountancy qualifications
Strong excel skills
Confident communicator
