Purpose of the Job Technician responsible for implementing Building & Plant maintenance works. Primary Responsibilities To perform planned maintenance tasks. To perform reactive repair & maintenance tasks. To respond to BMS generated alarms and faults. To follow H & S Policy and Safe Systems of Work Procedures. To manage sub-contractors. Read and understand sub-contractor risk assessments and method statements. Secondary Responsibilities To undertake regular testing of Fire Alarm Systems. Perform the duties of an Accompanying Safety Person. Monthly emergency light testing. Inspection and maintenance of air handling units Monthly emergency light testing. Key Skills Essentia l Qualified to NVQ level 4 or equivalent in a technical discipline. Electrical and/or Mechanical maintenance experience. 18TH Edition amendment no2 Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety procedures. PC literacy, MS Office, safety culture Ability to obtain MoD security clearance. Desirable Operational experience of HV & LV systems, standby power, UPS, chilled water & gas systems. Working knowledge of PAT Testing. Aptitudes Hands on approach. Self motivated. Levelheaded. Team worker. PC literate.
