Experienced Vessel Operations Engineer required for an ongoing contract role working on behalf of our client, a global oil & gas engineering contractor, based in London.
The Vessel Operations Engineer will be required to follow the preparation and activities of the MSV. In particular, the MSV scope will be:
1. Mobilisation activities, including wet buckle contingency and pre-commissioning spread preparation onboard.
2. Pre-lay survey.
3. Anchor pile installation and support to the vessel for initiation PLET installation (compensation buoy installation and retrieval).
4. Touch down point monitoring during vessel pipelay campaign (readiness to intervene in case of wet buckle).
5. Support to Vessel for laydown PLET installation (compensation buoy installation and retrieval).
6. Anchor pile removal.
7. Pre-commissioning campaign (flooding, cleaning and gauging).
8. Final demob.
Vessel Operations Engineer duties during project preparation include:
1. Liaising with the engineering team to guarantee all the required documentation is prepared, shared and commented by the vessel crew.
2. Follow up of procurement of all the items requested by the vessel for the project execution.
3. Interface with vessel team to guarantee project requirements are met.
4. Interface with ASSETs dept. to guarantee the marine spread readiness.
Vessel Operations Engineer duties during offshore operations include:
1. Liaising with the onshore PMT, VMT, OCM and Client representative to ensure that the requirements of Client specifications and the Contractor installation manual are followed.
2. Assists the OCM in all engineering aspects and advise on project specific items.
3. Completion of onsite technical queries and management of change requests as required during offshore operations.
4. Review and approval of task plans pertaining to pipeline operations which are written offshore, to ensure compliance with approved procedures.
5. Jointly responsible with the QC Coordinator for ensuring the correct revisions of documents are available on-board.

* Contract role - expected to fall outside of IR35 but will be subject to a pre-contract determination assessment.
