Job Title: Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Home
Location: Burton Upon Trent
Salary: Up to £36,302 inclusive of sleep-in allowance (£70.47 per sleep-in with an average of 11 per month) plus time and a third for overtime
Working Hour: Flexible shift patterns, including sleep-ins and on-call duties
Number of Sleeps Required: Average 11 per month
Pay Per Sleep: £70.47
Service: Children’s Home
Service Users: Children and Young People (YPs) with EBD, challenging behaviours, and early life trauma
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience in Years: Experience required within a Children's Residential home, preferably a Senior position.

Key Duties:
* Lead the team to deliver high-quality care and positive parenting
* Review care plans and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations
* Use positive support strategies, including de-escalation tools
* Act as an advocate for young people, providing calm and empathetic care
* Chair staff meetings and contribute to service improvement
* Support the Manager with day-to-day tasks and run the home in their absence
* Complete on-call duties as needed
Essential Requirements:
* Full manual driving licence
* Flexibility to work unsociable hours
* Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and quality standards
* Ability to provide role modelling, including staff supervision
* Clear passion and desire to support children and young people
